I felt like we were touring the slum as if we we’re touring a museum, as if people don’t live their lives doing their daily activities, and as if they don’t have real problems.
Today, I heard that a lot of travelers visit Kibera, and that made me even more uneasy. Like, you shouldn’t treat this place like an attraction site. That’s like going to the horrible neighborhoods in Detroit just to take a look.
